Judy Barnes
Judy Barnes was born and raised in Southern California. After tiring of the over population and smog, she moved to Mount Shasta, California. She lived in Northern California for five years and then packed up once again and moved to Taos, New Mexico. She now lives on a ranch with three horses and two dogs and has found the quiet country life to be ideal.
Judy has always loved photography and she photographs what she enjoys most…animals. According to Judy, “The animals share a piece of their soul with me” .
After moving to New Mexico, Judy volunteered with The New Mexican Horse Project.
The goal of the project is preservation and protection of the Spanish blood mustangs who have lived in New Mexico for four hundred years ,since the time of the Spanish explorers.
Judy has been fascinated with wild horses since childhood. Now she can experience wild horses as neighbors. She spends hours in Southern Colorado photographing wild horses and just spending time with the bands as they graze. |
